The "Book Habits and Currently Reading" Questionnaire/Tag!

Hey guys! I was tagged by Deborah Kelty to share a little about my book/reading habits! These questions were a lot of fun to answer, so thanks for the awesome tag, Deborah! You guys can check out her blog and the original post here.

Book Habits and Currently Reading Q&A:

Q1: What books do you remember reading that kick-started your bookworm habit?
When I was a kid, I was obsessed with Junie B. Jones, The Babysitters' Club, American Girl Books, and The Boxcar Children. As I got a little older (middle school) my friend introduced me to The City of Ember, and I devoured every single book. My reading habits slowed down a lot for a few years, but when I was in high school I finally jumped on the Hunger Games bandwagon after the movie came out, and I was hooked on basically every popular YA book after that.

Q2: What genre, or genres, would you normally choose?
My go-to for books is YA dystopian/science fiction, but I love a good mystery or fantasy, too. I'm also a sucker for anything whimsical like fairytales or A Wrinkle in Time.

Q3: Do you eat while you read and if yes, what exactly?
Not usually. I tend to be too sucked into the story to focus on anything else.

Q4: Are there any scenes from your favorite novels that you remember vividly?
Unfortunately, they're mostly death scenes that left a lasting imprint on my heart, soul, and mind. RIP favorite characters. RIP.

Q5: Were there any least favorites?
Um, Allegiant. The entire ending of the book still ticks me off to this day and AGH I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT.

Q6: So, as you're a bookworm, what are you reading currently today? (Optional)
Well, reading for me has been a big struggle lately. I have over 20 books on my shelf that I've started but haven't finished, which is unfortunate. Buuut do unpublished books count? Currently I'm reading through my cousin Cassidy's book and it's insanely amazing.

Q7: How's it getting along for you? (Optional)
Like I said before, it's insanely amazing. Her writing is incredible and if you don't follow her, you totally should. (Pinterest, Twitter)

Q8: Have you then got a large bookshelf, or do you plan to?

I LOVE my bookshelf. It's taller than me, as you can see, and it's terribly unorganized because I recently got it. I originally had two smaller bookshelves, but I moved my room around not long ago and decided to invest in one big five-shelf bookcase. Did I mention that I love it? Because I love it.

Q9: Do you have a liking to indie or traditional books?
Honestly, I don't have much of a preference. I tend to read more traditional simply because I see them in the store, but I read indie if I see it, too. Basically if it sounds good, I'll read it.

Q10: And lastly, do you plan to promote reading in some way, or already are?
Well, as I said before I've been in a major reading slump lately. I don't really do book reviews on the blog, but I do have a few posts on my favorite classic and modern books, so I guess . . . yes?

And that wraps up this questionnaire! I hope you guys enjoyed taking a peek into my reading life (or lack there of, right now.)
