I'm Back!
Hey guys! I'm back!
Honestly, I wanted to be back a while ago, but it has gotten to that point of the year where I no longer remember what day of the week it is. During school, I know the exact time and the exact day and the exact date and all that, but in the summertime I always, always, always mix my days up. All day I thought today was Monday, and then I looked at my phone and realized oh crap today is Tuesday and I was supposed to post on the blog today. So I am! Kind of.
I'm keeping today's post on the personal "update-y" side because according to my most recent results on the blog survey, a lot of you want to know more about me. Sweet! So to ease myself back into the blogging world, I thought I'd give you all a little update on life.
I am officially in the home stretch for college! Which is both extremely exciting and terrifying. For those who don't know, I'm currently attending a community college and will be receiving an Associate's degree in Arts this December. Though I don't have a specific "major," my focus is on English and Child Development (both of which I am extremely passionate about). Over this summer, I am taking one online Human Development course, and then in August I'll start my final semester.
This August will also mark one year of working at my job! I'm a nanny for a local family, and I love it more than words can say. I know so many people who absolutely hate their jobs, and I can proudly say I do not! I get to have a personal relationship with some great people and their adorable son as well as grow up with the little guy and help him develop and learn!
As far as writing goes, I am also excited to say that I've finally gotten some motivation to rewrite Unperfected! Since switching to two point-of-views, the storyworld has opened up immensely. There are aspects to the world and the story itself that I didn't know until I got into a different character's mind, and it is so refreshing. I've reread the original copy of Unperfected so many times that I can't properly edit it anymore, so having a chance to rewrite things with double POVs is really, really awesome.
Over the break I took, I was able to sit down and figure out a basic idea for some of the posts I have planned for the blog. But as always, if there is anything specific you would like me to write a post on, you can let me know in the comments, through the survey, or through email/social media!
I'm can't wait to see what this summer has in store!
